NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
In case you have missed it (which I don’t think is possible) the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is going on right now! I feel like this sale has to be one of the most posted about events all year. If you follow fashion bloggers, you may have already seen a lot of content about the sale. I find that sometimes this can be very helpful, and other times very redundant. I personally love the sale (I am a HUGE Nordy supporter), I always joke that I wold buy my groceries at Nordstrom if they offered that service.
With some much content being put out on the sale, it can become very chaotic with what you should actually spend your money on. My personal thoughts on the sale are that you have to go into it with a clear mindset of what you want to get out of it. I see it as, the sale offers a variety of the upcoming seasons biggest trends. If you want to get next seasons popular pieces at cheaper prices, then go for it! However, another option is that you can utilize the sale to purchase pieces that can help build a capsule wardrobe.
I will have an upcoming blog post diving more into a capsule style wardrobe, but all you need to know for now is it’s basically a closet style that is filled with pieces that never go out of style. These pieces are things such as skirts, trousers, and coats that can be changed intermittently as seasons change. Since I have been working to create a capsule wardrobe, this is personally what I like to utilize the sale for. Below I have put together a few styles of what I believe are pieces that can be switched in and out to create a multitude of outfits.

Overall I am confident that all of these pieces are extremely versatile and will allow you to style several outfits. Since these pieces are very classic, you will also be able to utilize them for more than one season, and well into the future.
Nordstrom has changed some of the terms of the sale this year, quite a few items are already sold out. However, there are similar items available at Nordstrom, as well as other retailers. If you are in love with an item, my biggest tip is to keep it in your wishlist and check back for a restock, I am often times successful with that when it comes to sold out items at Nordstrom!
